Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski on Monday formally signed Ukraine’s application for membership in the European Union.
In a post on the social network Facebook, Zelensky writes that “today I signed the application for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.”
He had earlier called on the Union to speed up EU membership procedures, given the state of emergency that the war has created.
