Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address a summit of NATO leaders in Brussels this week, Interfax Ukraine reported.
The news agency quoted Zelensky’s spokesman, Serhiy Nykyforov, as saying that Ukraine would “actively participate” in the March 24 summit.
“At least, this will be an address by the president, and at most it can be full participation, of course through video format,” said Nykyforov.
“The format of participation will be announced in the coming days,” he added.
Nykyforov said Zelensky would talk about the need to stop Russia’s war crimes against Ukrainian civilians and non-military infrastructure.
“This can be done in several ways – by closing the skies, offering Ukraine strong air defense and aviation. They will not talk about new security formats for Ukraine,” he added.
In recent days, Zelensky has been addressing via video link the parliaments and legislative institutions of many states including the United States, Canada, Germany, Israel and Italy. He is also expected to address the French National Assembly.
