Israel is making efforts to mediate talks between Ukraine and Russia, and in the future could be the host country of high-level negotiations, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Kremlin action has sparked outrage and been condemned in many parts of the world.
The United States and its allies have responded with harsh sanctions against Moscow.
