The American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, held a meeting with the chief diplomat of the OSCE, Del Monaco, where they discussed the commitment to free elections, justice reform and the fight against human trafficking.
In a Twitter status, Kim writes that he encourages Albania to enable the diaspora to vote as soon as possible, as required by the Constitution.
“I met with the OSCE ambassador. Del Monaco to discuss our shared commitment to support free and fair elections, justice reform and the fight against human trafficking. We encourage Albania to enable the diaspora to vote as soon as possible, as required by the Constitution. The US is pleased to support @OSCEinAlbania. His efforts to strengthen judicial institutions and processes, including the development of the new master’s program in criminology“, Kim writes on Twitter.

The presence of the OSCE in Tirana has also reacted to the meeting held between the diplomats, which writes that it has been agreed to strengthen the joint work for a strengthened Constitutional Court and SPAK
“Always a pleasure to meet with the US ambassador to Albania. We thanked him for his excellent and continuous cooperation with the OSCE in Albania, on many aspects of the rule of law and law enforcement, including the fight against organized crime. We agreed to strengthen joint work for an empowered Constitutional Court and SPAK. We expressed our encouragement for Albania to enable voting from abroad, as defined in the Constitution, and we remain ready to provide our assistance“, says the post of the OSCE Presence in Tirana on Twitter.
