YouTube has blocked Duma TV, a television channel that broadcasts the Russian parliament.

Today in a message from YouTube it was said that “the TV channel Duma was blocked due to violations of the terms of service of YouTube”.

Outraged Russian officials reacted immediately after the move.

“YouTube has been under pressure from Russian communications regulator Roskomnadzor and officials have responded quickly,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

The Russian communications watchdog said it had asked Google to immediately restore access to the Duma channel.
