The current situation, rising prices, has led employers to approach the labor market differently. They are offering higher wages, to attract workers.
“If we were to make a list, the demands for IT, Programmers, Developers, are at the top. Demands from Albanian and international companies are only increasing “, says the employment agent, Eranda Ymerali.
Now with the Russia-Ukraine conflict, sanctions against Russia and the situation in Ukraine, companies are looking to relocate professionals of profiles such as IT and Programmers, ie professions that can work from home, to the Balkan countries. We have started the procedures for work and residence permits of these citizens in Kosovo and Albania.
Other professions that are in demand are those of the season, such as hotels. There is a lot of demand for basic professions such as sanitation, Call Center, tailoring, delivery, etc. But it is difficult to find workers of these profiles, as wages are low.
We are finally encountering announcements: like e.g. we are looking for a car wash with a salary of 500 euros, someone else with 50 thousand lek. But that generally results in problems, as there is no written contract with the obligations of the employer and the benefits of the employee. So the announcement is made to attract attention and then it turns out that the working conditions are not what they promised.
