Women, alcohol and drugs in prisons / ‘Trinom’ operation detainees arrive in Court

The Elbasan Prosecutor’s Office documented the involvement of 28 people, including guards, senior prison police officers, as well as VIP convicts.

In cooperation with each other and with the employees of the prison system, they received and transmitted messages which seriously endanger the security of prisons, but also national security, and in some cases supplied narcotics and other prohibited items, convicts or detainees.

During the execution of investigative and procedural actions and the execution of Court decisions for security measures for persons implicated in various criminal offenses, 4 million ALL, a “Glock” type pistol, as well as items were seized as material evidence. and other evidence which serves the investigation.

Also, these citizens seriously violated the internal regulation of the functioning of institutions in prisons.

In this context, the police operation codenamed “Trinom” was organized and finalized, as a result of which the execution of security measures “Prison arrest” for citizens took place:

1. Hysni Ndreu, 50 years old, resident in Tirana, acting head of the Elbasan Detention Center, suspected of the criminal offenses “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions” and “Introduction or detention of prohibited items in the institution of execution of decisions with imprisonment ”;

2. Gazmir Meta, 52 years old, resident in Elbasan, on duty security group in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected of criminal offenses “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions”, “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions” , committed in collaboration and “Introduction or detention of prohibited items in the institution of execution of imprisonment decisions”;

3. Elvis Gjoci, 46 years old, resident in Elbasan, with control duty in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected of committing the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”;

4. Gentian Gjata, 48 years old, resident in Elbasan, owner of a business within the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected of committing the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions, committed in collaboration”;

5. Gentian Mino, 45 years old, resident in Elbasan, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected in the concrete criminal proceedings for “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions and introduction or possession of items detained in the institution of execution of decisions with imprisonment ”;

6. Dardan Xhahysa, 24 years old, resident in Kavaja, suspected of the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions”, committed in collaboration;

7. Mikel Gjella, 30 years old, resident in Tirana, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected in the concrete criminal proceeding for the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions”;

8. Klevis Deliaj, 27 years old, resident in Vlora, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected in the concrete criminal proceedings for “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions”;

9. Genci Xhahysa, 41 years old, resident in Kavaja, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected in the concrete criminal proceedings for the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions” committed in collaboration;

10. Ervin Velia, 32 years old, resident in Kavaja, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Elbasan Detention Institution, suspected in the concrete criminal proceeding of the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions” committed in collaboration;

11. Rigers Miha, 23 years old, resident in Tirana, suspected of the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions performed in cooperation”;

12. Kastriot Gjella, 54 years old, resident in Tirana, suspected of the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions”, committed in collaboration;

13. Enver Kasneci, 48 years old, resident in Elbasan, suspected of the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions, committed in collaboration”;

Also, following the investigations, evidence has been collected documenting that 13 other citizens are implicated, for whom security measures have been imposed “Prison arrest”, namely:

Delin Hajdari, 31 years old, resident of Vlora, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Decisions Drenovo / Korça, suspected of the criminal offense “Introduction or detention of prohibited items in the institution of execution of imprisonment decisions ”and“ Organizing or exercising gambling activities in violation of the law ”;

Leo Osmani, 28 years old, resident of Vlora, previously convicted, who is detained for another criminal offense in the Institution for Execution of Criminal Decisions Drenovo / Korça, suspected of committing criminal offenses “Introduction or possession of items prohibited in the institution of execution of imprisonment decisions ”and“ Organizing or exercising gambling activities in violation of the law ”;
