Albanians can go out on New Year’s Eve, as there will be no curfews.
The Committee of Experts announced a few days ago that there will be no time limit on the night of December 31st. But while the presence of the “Omicron” variant of the coronavirus has been confirmed in the country, the clusters may affect the increase in the number of infections.
Asked by reporters, the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu said that “this is a decision that the Committee has taken referring to the epidemiological situation in the country. He also made a broader assessment of the situation in the region.
However, Manastirliu emphasizes that citizens should be careful:
“Of course, the ‘Omicron’ variant is also disturbing. But, extra care is required. Pedestrian movements of people will be allowed, but the Committee has recommended that the holidays be with the small family, with as few contacts as possible and be vaccinated / tested.
We must understand that the fight against the pandemic is a war that belongs to everyone. “All health facilities are on their feet, but it needs to grow even more.”.
Covid, says the minister, has not escaped but is transforming into other variants.
Once again, she recalled that from January 4, every administration employee must submit their vaccination passport or Covid negative test every five days.
