The State Police has conducted 10 operations in a week, one of which in cooperation with the Greek and Italian authorities.
Flash controls and national and international police operations continue to apprehend wanted persons, those circulating illegal firearms, transporting and trafficking narcotics or engaging in criminal activities in the field of environmental crimes, gambling, smuggling, giving assistance for illegal border crossing, domestic violence, etc.
During this week, 10 coded police operations were conducted throughout the country, out of these 9 national and 1 international operations, namely the operations: “Bratoshi”, “Linza”, “Coordination”, “Just in time”, Tabacino “,” “Osumi”, “Antenat”, “Blic”, “Kriptofarm” and the international operation “Astrolabio” developed with Italy and Greece.
As part of these operations, 34 citizens were arrested, out of which 18 in the framework of the “Astrolabio” operation.
Two laboratories for the production of cryptocurrencies have been discovered.
4 firearms, narcotics cocaine and cannabis, ammunition, cold steel, money and other illegal items were seized.
12 wanted persons have been apprehended, out of which 10 are nationally wanted and 2 are internationally wanted.
21 people have also been declared wanted.
In the field of narcotics, 29 cases have been identified, for which 29 persons have been prosecuted and arrested.
In the field of environmental crimes are identified 34 cases, in the field of gambling are identified 6 cases, in the field of providing assistance for illegal border crossing, immigrants from third countries who enter our country illegally, through the border with the Greek state , 11 cases were identified, as well as 19 cases of illegal border crossing.
73 persons were prosecuted and arrested for these cases.
16 people were arrested, 2 people were prosecuted and 1 more was declared wanted for domestic violence.
Also, 6 people were arrested and 4 others were prosecuted, for opposing police officers.
In the field of economic and financial crime, 21 cases have been identified throughout the country, for which 21 persons have been prosecuted and arrested.
16 cases of property theft have been uncovered and 16 suspected perpetrators of these thefts have been handcuffed.
40 drivers were prosecuted and arrested for violating traffic rules. A consequent accident was uncovered and the driver of the vehicle was handcuffed, who after injuring the 83-year-old, threw him into the canal to lose track and left.
The structures of the State Police are maximally committed to the prevention, identification and crackdown on illegality, crime in general and organized crime in particular, in order to create a safer environment, and in this context invites citizens to report to the number free of charge 112 and at the Digital Commissariat, any case of illegality, guaranteeing complete anonymity and immediate and impartial response.
