Moscow has no plans to suspend its military operation in Ukraine ahead of a round of peace talks. The statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
In an interview with state television, Lavrov said President Vladimir Putin had ordered the military to suspend its actions during the first round of talks between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators.
But Moscow’s position has changed since then, he said. Lavrov said he saw no reason to continue talks with Moscow.
Also during the interview, Lavrov asked the senior EU official, Josep Borrel, to stop sending weapons to Kiev, as according to him this marks a major turning point in European politics.
