YouTube will block channels related to Russian media, Russia Today and Sputnik throughout Europe.
This was announced by Google in a post on Twitter, saying that the situation is being monitored to take swift action for images of the war in Ukraine.
“Because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, we are blocking YouTube channels linked to RT and Sputnik throughout Europe, which take effect immediately. “Our teams will continue to monitor the situation at all times to take swift action.”writes Google.
Youtube actions follow that of Facebookwhich on Monday said it would restrict access to the RT television network and the Sputnik news agency on its platforms across the European Union.
