French President Emmanuel Macron has reacted to the situation in Ukraine by saying that they will hit Russia with sanctions of the same level of aggression.
Macron stressed that Russia should expect tough sanctions that will hit the military, the economy and the energy sector.
“We will support Ukraine without hesitation and will bear our responsibility to protect the sovereignty and security of our European allies. “Last night’s events mark a turning point in European history.” said Macron.
“We will respond to this act of war with determination, calm and unity.” added Macron.
