A young Australian woman who was about to get married devised an unusual way to prevent COVID-19 from ruining her wedding day – deliberately trying to get infected.
A video where she details the realization of the idea, has received more than 121,000 clicks on the TikTok network. Those interested can see the images here
The woman comments: “In 6 weeks comes the wedding day and I am still not infected with COVID,” while further the young woman hugs and kisses young men and women in the nightclub, and even drinks from their glasses without discrimination. The video was posted on Sunday by user @ maddysmart31.
The 15-second footage was titled “Get Infected with COVID, Not Feelings,” where the expectant bride meets men and women, exchanging glasses with them at a Melbourne nightclub.
But the video was posted before the Australian state of Victoria, where Melbourne is located, announced yesterday that it would close closed nightclubs “to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant.
Many TikTok users praised the bride’s initiative for her “immunization strategy”.
In some other cases, deliberate attempts were made, mainly by young people, to become infected with Covid, in order to avoid forced vaccination, when the onset of the disease was the official reason for exclusion from injections.
And in fact the experts have warned the public against intentional infection as according to them it can be passed easily but also severely.
“People trying to get the virus should not do it because the wave of infections can pass without being infected,” said the epidemiologist. Dr. Catherine Bennett Daily Mail Australia.
