Prime Minister Edi Rama has held a press conference regarding the scandal of extracting salary data of over 630 people.
Edi Rama: I want to apologize to all those who are rightly concerned about this interference in this aspect of their private life and in the meantime I want to emphasize from the beginning that this is an event that deserves to be thoroughly investigated. I wish, hope and call on law enforcement agencies to carry out this investigation to the best of their ability and on the other hand, I would like to share with the public that in my view it is not difficult to see that there is a not very difficult goal for to understand and foster instability in an effort that is not the first.
Given the statements made by the rostrums of assemblies and anti-assemblies, it may not be the last, so my call to the prosecution is to investigate seeking to answer not only all but the tax inspectors who have access to the system of wages for work reasons, those who currently work in this system or others who may have left this system in the period from the data extracted to date, but also those who from the rostrums of Assemblies and anti-assemblies warn of other grievances.
I would like to clarify that we are dealing with an intervention which of course should be fully investigated for its origin, but which with the preliminary analysis looks more like an intervention from internal infiltration and not from external infiltration in the form of a cyber attack, which also happens. We are not the first or the last if you refer only to the last period of time, so let’s say the years 2019-2020-2021, such events have occurred in many countries with very high capacities and cyber defense from the US, Russia, Great Britain and Canada and this is a new challenge of the time.
