Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, after voting in the referendum organized by Serbia on constitutional changes in the field of justice, had a comment on Kosovo, where the Assembly adopted a resolution against holding this referendum within the country.
According to Serbian media, Vucic said that Serbs from Kosovo “showed that their vote is a vote for Serbia” and not for the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. He said that Kosovo’s decision not to allow this referendum to be held “will have major consequences”.
Vuçiçi is not satisfied either with the QUINT countries and their determination to convince the Government of Kosovo to allow the holding of this referendum.
He had critical approaches to the US, UK, France, Germany and Italy.
“They can not hear criticism or sanctions against Pristina for banning voting in the referendum,” said Vucic.
Deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo on Saturday adopted a resolution expressing opposition to holding elections in Kosovo for the referendum in Serbia.
With 76 votes in favor, none against and one abstention, the Assembly adopted the resolution during an extraordinary session convened by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
According to the resolution, holding a referendum of Serbia in the Republic of Kosovo violates the sovereignty and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo, is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as international norms and practices.
