The pair will discuss issues related to European energy security, a Commission spokesman said.
Hungary is one of the few EU member states to oppose proposals for a sixth round of sanctions against Russia in response to the war in Ukraine.
The latter will gradually phase out the use of Russian crude oil across the EU within six months, although Hungary will be given until the end of 2023 to stop using it.
