After the losses that Vladimir Putin’s army is reportedly suffering in the attack on Ukraine, the surname of the Russian leader’s girlfriend seems to be opening up more the wounds of war.
35-year-old Katerina Tikhonova, is related to the Russian ballet dancer Igor Zelensky, it is revealed in an investigation of the western media.
Sanctions against Putin’s family have prevented Tikonova from flying from Moscow to Munich to be with her boyfriend, who strangely bears the same name as her father’s enemy army president, Voloydmyr Zelensky.
Her partner with whom she has a two-year-old daughter is the lead dancer of the troupe and already the director who has directed the state ballet troupe of Bavaria.
The revelation comes after the investigation of the Russian network IStories and the German Der Spiegel.
Previously, Tikhonova, an acrobat turned into a scientist and now a businesswoman, was married to 40-year-old Russian millionaire Kirill Shamalov.
But they reportedly split in 2017 when she began a relationship with 52-year-old Zelensky, who has two daughters from his marriage to choreographer Yana Serebryakova.
Until the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, she reportedly lived with her boyfriend in Germany.
“For two years from 2017 to 2019, the little girl’s mother had to fly frequently from Moscow to Munich and vice versa,” wrote IStories.
The newspaper investigation revealed documents proving the flights of the group ‘Tikhonova, Zelensky, a child, nanny and security guard’.
According to the revelations she has flown to Munich about 40 times within two years, to be with the man ironically named Zelensky.
The latter is known in Russia as one of the most successful dancers, with the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Ballet Troupe, and with the New York City Ballet Troupe.
Anonymous sources had supplied the media with documents, emails and passport details of travelers and their security guards led by Alexei Skripchak.
Zelensky, a Russian of Georgian descent, has no tribal ties to the current president of Ukraine.
Der Spiegel wrote that Zelensky “more likely” to be the partner of Putin’s daughter, writes the British Metro.co.uk
