Four days of fires have burned dozens of hectares of plant land on Sazan Island.
Top Channel journalist Mikel Marsi went there today. The images show burnt shrubs and pines.
There are still no records of animals being burned by the flames, while some old objects that were in the fires were also destroyed.
The fires on the island of Sazan were neutralized the day before, after the intervention of the “Canadair CL 415” aircraft, which came as support from Greece.
For four days a cloud rose over the largest island of Albania, destroying the centuries-old pines. An obvious danger on the island were also the remaining ammunition which could explode from the heat. Sazani is home to 16 rare species, three of them amphibians and 13 reptiles.
