Relatives of the identified persons were received at the meeting by representatives of the Government Commission on Missing Persons, Deputy Director General and officials of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, representatives of EULEX and the International Committee of the Red Cross. .
During the joint meeting, the commitment of the institutions and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in clarifying the truth and institutional evidence of crimes committed by Serbian forces during the war in Kosovo was emphasized. The relatives were informed about the commitment of the Institute of Forensic Medicine for finding and identifying persons missing violently from the war in Kosovo, emphasizing the work that is currently being carried out in the process of re-inventory of unidentified mortal remains. . The continuous commitment and efforts of the Government Commission on Missing Persons to clarify the fate and whereabouts of missing persons were highlighted.
The representatives of the institutions thanked the families of the missing persons, who, despite the great pain and suffering for these 23 years, have always shown understanding and provided all the necessary cooperation in this sensitive and complex process.
