Varhelyi: This process that we start today is the first step of membership and we want to proceed gradually. This system is one of the main elements. We want to start the work, not from the beginning because we have done a lot of work in the past years and in 2018-2019. Over the past years we have provided advice on EU finance and legislation. We have also focused on reforms. Thank you for what you have done in the past on your way to the EU. This process is a very good opportunity for you to do a self-assessment with legislation policies to see how close you are to EU standards. I am looking forward to the bilateral dialogue that will be the core of our talks, where we will draw up a report and review on how we will conduct these negotiations with you. We will have a very intensive work, starting from the main groups, both from the commission and from your administrations. In order for administrations to be prepared, I encourage you to coordinate your participation. We will be by your side and we will support you in every need you will have. The review will help us to focus on issues that really matter, for example the quality of the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink. These are elementary examples. All this will continue and we will have investments in different trade sectors. We will have opportunities for businesses. The accession process will be seen as an ambitious reform program. We are taking the first step of the membership process today, let the process begin.
