In the US the consequences of the snowstorm which at the end of last week hit the northeastern part of the country are still visible as meteorologists warn of a new cold wave that will cover most of the country.
The Meteorological Agency announced that the new wave is expected to appear from the rocky mountains to the northeast of the country in less than a week and cover an area of more than 3,200 kilometers, CNN reported.
Forecasts show that a new wave of cold, from the start in New England could hit 21 states where heavy rainfall and extremely low air temperatures are expected.
A new snowstorm could hit Indiana and the surrounding area hardest, with snow depths up to 45 inches[45 cm]the highest since 1900. Heavy snowfall is also expected in Toledo, Ohio.
In the early days, there may be ice and power outages in Texas and surrounding areas as well as traffic congestion.
Worsening weather from Friday will continue in Tennessee and Kentucky in the east and over the weekend air temperatures in New York can drop up to 6 degrees Celsius below zero./AA/
