The US vice president has warned that the Russian occupation of Ukraine threatens democracy across Europe.
US Vice President Kamala Harris stressed the unity between the US and its NATO allies and warned that Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine poses a threat to democracy.
“The invasion of Russia threatens not only Ukraine’s democracy, but also Europe’s democracy and security. “The ocean that separates us will not leave us untouched by this aggression,” Harris said, according to CNN.
“The United States stands with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance,” she added.
The US has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian attacks. They have intervened in diplomatic relations to establish peace between the countries.
They have held talks with other countries which also support Ukraine in these difficult days.
