US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Gabriel Escobar has visited the office of Kosovo’s new ambassador to Washington, Ilir Dugolli.

Dugolli has been Kosovo’s ambassador to Turkey, while previously he held this post in Belgium, while he was also accredited as Kosovo’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Estonia.
Escobar has previously expressed his support for progress in the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
The senior official, who is also the US envoy to the Western Balkans, stressed the US support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo and its commitment to becoming a member of the European Union.
