US President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms, while isolated at the White House, according to the BBC.
The 79-year-old is fully vaccinated and received booster shots twice.
He will be sequestered in the White House and will continue to perform all of his duties, a statement said.
The president is taking the antiviral drug Paxlovid, while he will participate in meetings via phone and Zoom.
In accordance with White House protocol, the president will continue to work in isolation until he tests negative, Jean-Pierre said.
First Lady Jill Biden reportedly tested negative while in Delaware.
