The United States has imposed new sanctions on Russia today, this time hitting the technology sector.
The U.S. has said it is imposing sanctions on 21 entities and 13 individuals, including Micron, Russia’s largest chip maker and largest electronics maker and exporter.
The move is aimed at “evasion networks of sanctions” and key Russian technology companies that are enabling Putin’s illegal war against Ukraine.
“We will continue to target Putin’s war machine with sanctions from all angles until this senseless election war ends,” US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said in a statement.
Moscow faces a wide range of international sanctions in sectors ranging from military goods to luxury goods, air travel and banks.
