Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after Biden’s statements in the White House, thanked the US President for the additional military and economic assistance.
Through a Twitter post, Zelensky expressed his gratitude for all the help that America and the whole world is giving to the Ukrainian people, thus saving the lives of the defenders of democracy and freedom who offer the restoration of peace.
Earlier, Biden announced $ 500 million in economic aid to the Ukrainian government and $ 800 million in military aid.
The $ 800 million package will include heavy artillery and drones, along with ammunition, Biden said.
