GJKKO accepts the shortened trial for the former mayor of Lushnja Tafos Tushe, who was arrested for corruption with the tender worth 24 million ALL for the rehabilitation of irrigation canals.
The Trial Panel decided to accept the abbreviated trial also for the other 19 defendants in the process, while for two others, respectively Ujar Murati and Natasha Myrtaj, the case was separated.
On July 6, Fatos Tushe was handcuffed by the SPAK for abuse of office on charges of abusing public funds. The SPAK launched an investigation a year ago, based on a Judicial Police referral for the criminal offenses of “passive corruption”, “violation of equality in tenders”, “abuse of office” and “falsification of documents”.
