The United Nations and the World Health Organization called for an immediate end to attacks on healthcare, hospitals, healthcare workers, and ambulances.
“None of this should ever, ever be a goal”Said UN spokeswoman Stephane Dujarric at his daily press conference.
Dujarric said the UN was following the details of the reported attack on a children’s and maternity hospital in the port city of Mariupol, where at least 17 people were injured.
The World Health Organization has so far verified at least 18 different attacks on health facilities since the beginning of the Russian occupation of Ukraine.
