More than five million refugees have fled Ukraine since the Russian invasion in late February, according to the latest figures released by the UN.
In addition, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), quoted by AFP, says that about 215,000 third-country nationals, people who are neither citizens of Ukraine nor the country of entry, have also fled to neighboring countries.
The largest percentage of refugees, 2.7 million have fled to Poland. However, official figures suggest that some people are now choosing to return to Ukraine.
