At least 847 civilians, including 64 children, have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the occupation on February 24 and Friday, March 18, according to the UN Office for Human Rights (OHCHR).
In the last 24 hours the death toll has risen by 31 people.
Another 1,399 civilians, including 78 children, were injured, mostly by bombing and airstrikes, the OHCHR says.
The current number is believed to be much higher, he adds.
“Most of the recorded civilian casualties were caused by the use of explosive weapons with a wide range of impact, including heavy artillery bombardment and rocket fire,” the OHCHR said.
