The Ministry of Defense in Ukraine has stated that Russian forces are concentrated in the siege of Kiev.
In a statement to the media, the ministry said Russian troops were blocked and detained in the Makarov area, which is about 60 km (37 miles) away from the Ukrainian capital.
The ministry said Russia’s armed forces have exhausted most of their operational reserves and have begun preparations to transfer additional forces and resources from the southern and eastern military districts.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that the war in Ukraine was going according to plan, despite estimates from other countries that the Kremlin invasion did not go according to plan.
