Russia fired six missiles at the western city of Lviv on Friday morning, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The shells were most likely cruise missiles fired by fighter jets over the Black Sea, a Facebook statement said.
Two of the missiles were intercepted by air defense systems, the statement added.
The mayor of Lviv said the rockets hit an aircraft repair factory near the airport. Work at the plant had stopped before the rockets hit and there were no reports of casualties at this stage, he said.
