The President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, met this Monday with the Ukrainian Ambassador in Tirana, Volodymyr Shkurov, to express his support for Albania.
Meta, in a statement to the media after the meeting that took place at the Ukrainian embassy stressed that Albania will always be on the side of Ukraine, which for the fifth day in a row is facing Russian aggression.

For his part, Shkurov thanked the President and the Albanians. “As the ambassador of Ukraine to Albania, even before the conflict started, I felt the support of Mr. Meta. Even after the start of the war, he was one of the first to express support for Ukraine. Today, during our meeting, I conveyed to Meta the thanks of President Volodymyr Zelensky and the thanks of the Ukrainian people for Albania“, Said Shkurov.
