Albanian lawmakers have agreed to vote on a resolution condemning the Russian military’s attack on Ukraine.
All parliamentary groups agreed to adopt the resolution proposed by the Socialist Party. As a symbolic sign, some deputies also wore a T-shirt with the flags of Ukraine and Albania.
The resolution supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This resolution calls for an immediate cessation of the use of force by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and for the withdrawal of Russian military forces from the territory of Ukraine according to internationally recognized borders.
The deputies of the assembly gave speeches in support of the issue of Ukraine.
The resolution promotes and supports the diplomatic activity and the measures taken by the Albanian government, in coordination with our strategic allies, the US and the EU, in support of the sovereignty of Ukraine and the principles of European security and the global order of relations between the states.
The session was also attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to our country.
