Ukraine has identified more than 600 Russian war crimes suspects and has begun prosecuting about 80 of them, said Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova.
At a news conference Tuesday, Venediktova said high-ranking military officials, politicians and “Russian Federation propaganda agents” were among more than 600 Russian suspects.
Venediktova said the investigation was complicated by the fact that fighting was still ongoing.
Estonia, Latvia and Slovakia have joined the international team investigating alleged war crimes in Ukraine, which was originally formed by Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland on March 21st to enable the exchange of information and resources.
