The UK will deploy its Saber anti-aircraft missile system to NATO ally Poland, along with 100 troops.
The BBC writes that they will be sent in a short period of time from three to six months.
A Defense Ministry spokesman said the Saber missile system was being sent to protect Polish airspace and was purely for defensive purposes.
The United States and Germany have already sent air defense systems to NATO’s eastern flank.
