The unprecedented clash between Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha moved to the CEC at the level of lawyers. Ivi Kaso was the first to sit in the seat reserved for political parties, claiming to represent Democrats at the meeting. A few minutes later, the lawyer Indrit Sefa appeared in the hall, who on behalf of Lulzim Basha asked to clarify his position as legal representative of the Democratic Party.

At the next meeting of the Regulatory Commission, Sali Berisha’s legal representative did not appear. It was decided by a majority of votes that political parties have until January 31 to register with the CEC, while electoral coalitions have until February 1.
February 9 is the deadline for registration of candidates in the race. The Democratic Party asked for more time for the campaign, but the CEC left the competing subjects only two weeks for the election campaign, which should start on February 19.
