Two criminal events have been prevented this week in Tirana and Elbasan.
Dozens of operations and mega-operations, hundreds arrested and prosecuted. Cocaine, cannabis, weapons arsenal, weapons modification workshops, narcotics plants, smuggled goods and illegal assets were seized this week by State Police structures across the country.
Two police mega-operations were successfully finalized:

• During this week, 540 persons were arrested, prosecuted and declared wanted, out of which: 151 were arrested, 367 were prosecuted and 22 were declared wanted.
• A total of 30 wanted persons were apprehended, of which: 28 nationally wanted and 2 internationally wanted.

• 22 cases of environmental crimes, 2 cases of arson, 3 cases of organizing games of chance and 5 cases of theft of electricity were identified and hit.
• In the field of narcotics, 46 cases were identified and hit, while in the field of economic crime, 27 cases were identified and hit.
• Timely intervention of police structures has prevented 2 criminal events, in Tirana and Elbasan.
Traffic Police / Monitoring on all road axes, using the intelligent car “Poliscan”, automatic license plate reader, automatic radars installed in the fleet of new vehicles, cameras and other uniformed vehicles.
During this week, 362 driving licenses were suspended, of which: 242 for speeding, 83 for driving under the influence of alcohol or drunk and 37 for driving in the opposite direction.

• During this week, 6 wanted citizens were arrested, of which 4 in national search and 2 in international search.
• A joint police operation to crack down on cocaine trafficking was finalized, as a result of which 45.5 kg of cocaine were seized in the Port of Durrës, and 2 citizens were handcuffed.
• 10 citizens were prosecuted for the criminal offense “Illegal border crossing”; 6 citizens, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, 8 citizens, for the criminal offense “Forgery of documents”, and 2 citizens, for “Narcotics trafficking”.
• Also, 2 cases of bribery and 1 case of opposition of Police employees were hit, due to duty.
