These images do not belong to any war zone in Ukraine, but to Shkodra. The city woke up shocked after two powerful explosions with tritol, but thankfully without consequences in people’s lives. The first was recorded at 2.20 minutes, near the stadium “Loro Borici”, on the first floor of a building, where is located a supermarket owned by the citizen Florenc Marku.
The explosion caused only material damage while the perpetrators seem to have well thought out the impact force of the explosive as only 20 meters away, there was a fuel.
Just 5 minutes later, another even more powerful explosion took place in the city center, face to face with the institutions of the Shkodra Prefecture and the Regional Council. The explosive was placed in a clothing store but the building is owned by Xhemal Bushati, the former Democratic Party mayoral candidate. The striking force not only shook the entire area and the Bushati family who lives in this building but also caused material damage to businesses and surrounding institutions.
The Democratic Party of Albania also reacted to the attack on Bushati. The blue headquarters strongly condemns the act while saying that the security situation in Shkodra has only worsened, accusing it of alliances between the government and crime.
The Democratic Party urges law enforcement agencies to find those responsible for this aggression. Meanwhile, the police and the prosecutor’s office of Shkodra have launched investigations into these events, questioning the two business leaders, while security cameras are expected to come to their aid, which are numerous in both areas.
