According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, 14 fires were reported in the last 24 hours.
190 operational forces were engaged in the field with 28 vehicles, including the fire brigade, the state police, volunteer forces, troops of the National Agency of Protected Areas, the forest service as well as local civil emergency workers, which made possible the complete isolation and extinguishing the fires:
– in the village of Dedaj, Malësi e Madhe, in the village of Burbullush in the municipality of Vau-Dejës, in the village of Mashë, in the village of Radë and in the overpass of Fllaka, Durra, in Tragjas of Vlora, in Vergo of Delvina, in the village of Plashnik i Madh and Terpan of Poliçan, Bogové of Skrapar, Kodër Krastë of Elbasan and the village of Kukur of Gramsh
Currently, 2 fire stations are active in:
-Bërzan in the municipality of Lezhë where the operation started at 5 am by the armed forces and local government forces, for the final extinguishing of the outbreaks and in the village of Shetaj in Durrës where there is only one active outbreak, which develops with low intensity.
The structures of the civil defense system are in full readiness with all ground and air capacities for keeping the situation under control throughout the country.
We call on citizens to be careful during the weekend, where, according to the Institute of Geosciences, hot days are predicted throughout the country and the risk of fires is high.
Do not under any circumstances throw cigarette butts in areas where there is grass, as there is a possibility of starting a fire! Do not start fires in the forest! If you start a campfire, don’t leave without making sure it’s completely out!
The clearing of pastures by fire is done only with the authorization of the forestry enterprise of the district where the pasture is located. Please, citizens, immediately report fires to the fire services, so that they can be contained as soon as possible, in order not to risk causing incalculable damage.
We remind you that intentional or negligent fires are punishable by law.
