Invited to “Wake Up”, the Turkish Ambassador to Albania, Murat Ahmet Yörük spoke about Albania-Turkey relations and said that investments in our country are expected to increase and that Turkey is one of the most strategic partners in the field of business in Albania.
“I must say that Turkey is the first country in Albania that is making large and strategic investments in Albania. If we look at investments after 1990, $ 3.5 billion, it is projected to grow even more. It is one of the most strategic partners in the field of business in Albania. After the visit of the Prime Minister, it was agreed that this volume will increase to half a billion dollars, maybe more, so Turkey is focusing on bigger projects, so we as Turkey are continuing to study the field. We can say that in the strategic sectors that Albania needs to invest, we will definitely stay close to it, and employment will increase. In all the talks and meetings we have held, it has been agreed that the cooperation between the two ministries for agriculture will be deepened. Our activities and works are deepening. We do not look at the mirror but at the work of the person. “We focus on the deeds and not the words that embroider them beautifully.”
Both countries are striving to become part of the European Union, the Ambassador added, adding that Turkey is on this path and the dialogue is ongoing.
“Both countries are trying to become EU countries. An EU enlargement project is something about politics that goes beyond politics. Turkey is continuing on the road to Brussels, the dialogue is continuing. There are certain circles which are trying to deviate from the target of either Turkey or the west. “Turkey is ready to open a dialogue.”
