The daily number of coronavirus cases in Turkey has exceeded 30,000 today, for the first time since October 19, and Health Minister Fahretin Koca announced an increase in the number of cases due to the omicron variant.
Turkey today registered 32,176 infected and 184 dead as a result of the virus, according to the Ministry of Health.
“Bringing the number of cases to the level of the last 20,000 weeks was a serious achievement. “Due to the rapid spread of the omicron variant, it is seen that we are now entering a growth trend,” Koca wrote on Twitter, urging his compatriots to be vaccinated, Reuters reports.
