Turkey reported 9,205 new cases of coronavirus, including 649 symptomatic patients, and another 74 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The total number of cases has gone to over 2.6 million, while the number of deaths to 28,432, according to the Ministry of Health. About 10,282 other patients have won their battle against the virus, bringing the total number of cured to over 2.55 million.
The number of patients with COVID-19 in critical condition stands at 1,195, the latest figures showed.
Over 32.93 million tests have been done in Turkey so far, including 128,387 over the past day. On January 14th, Turkey launched a massive vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
Since December last year, Turkey has implemented movement restrictions to curb the spread of the virus.
