The Municipality of Tirana has taken the new restrictive measure that aims to alleviate the traffic situation, especially for the first hours of the morning, when parents send their children to school.
“Heavy tonnage vehicles will no longer be allowed on the ring road, small and medium, because they created aggravated traffic conditions. According to the order, the circulation of all means of transport of goods is prohibited from 07:00 to 09:00, as well as vehicles with a total load of over 3.5 tons from 09:00 to 20:00 in the Ring of Middle of the city“, Said Enton Ponavina.
According to the Municipality, since the distribution of children in schools has already been extended throughout the day and not only to a peak schedule, this has forced the extension of the curfew for these vehicles, which often make wrong parking lots, block traffic and slow down the movement of vehicles on the road.
