More than 500 civilians have been trapped at the Nitrogen Chemical plant in the besieged city of Severodonetsk.
For more than two weeks, according to CNN, Ukrainians have been left without food supplies.
“There are food reserves, but they have not been replenished for two weeks. So stocks will not last long. “If there is a humanitarian corridor, I believe people are ready to leave Nitrogen.”said Roman Vlasenko, head of the military administration of the area.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it would open an evacuation corridor from the plant to civilians starting Wednesday, but only in Russian-controlled territory in the north.
