A 24-year-old man with the initials LA, resident in Shkodra, was arrested after transporting 26 illegal immigrants.
The young man was transporting the emigrants in a van type vehicle, from MENA countries, for profit.
During the police operation codenamed “ROAD GUARD 24” in the national axis Tepelena-Memaliaj, a vehicle, two mobile phones and a large amount of money were seized.
The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance, for the criminal offense of “Assisting in illegal border crossing”.
