A British transgender woman who was awaiting gender reassignment surgery in the public health system has been sent to a men’s prison for three years after being exposed as a dangerous pedophile.
Britnee Aitken, who before the change of sexual orientation, was identified as 47-year-old truck driver Marcus, will no longer perform the sex change after the testimony of two little girls he had attempted to sexually abuse a few years ago.
One of the victims, then only six years old, said he had touched her abusively when they knocked on his door.
Yesterday in court in Minshull, Manchester, Aitken appeared wearing a women’s blouse, makeup and long red hair.
As she had requested, she was referred to in court as ‘she’, as she was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault on minors and one count of sexual exposure.
She / he is already permanently registered in the register of sex offenders and will be sent to a men’s prison.
Prosecutor Ben Berkson said: “The accused was known at the time as Marcus Aitken while the girls he attacked were five or six years old.”
The statement of one of the victims said: “I still have nightmares of abuse when I think about what this person was doing to me.”
“What happened has affected my ability to build and maintain relationships with friends and family, while the abuse has caused me anxiety and inability to manage stress.”
Aitken was convicted in 2020 while in 2012 he had received a warning to shoot under another child’s dress.
Sentencing Judge John Edwards told Aitken: “Your abuse has had a strong emotional impact on juvenile victims who saw you as a responsible adult giving toys to children for fun, but your real motives were perverse ”.
