A natural disaster has caused tragedy in Manipur, India, where a massive landslide has caused 42 deaths and 20 missing.
The rescue teams are continuing the work to find the bodies of the missing persons, who were located in a railway construction site.
The victims were mostly laborers and members of a volunteer force of the Indian Army, while authorities said heavy rains made the search difficult.
Monsoon rains have caused severe flooding in India’s northeastern states, particularly Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura.
The impact has been particularly severe in Assam, where more than 150 people have died in floods and landslides and millions have been displaced.
Locals told the BBC that the labor camp included a number of workers from other states whose names were not known and whose documents were not available.
