Ali Ahmeti reacted to the result of the total population in Northern Macedonia and the percentage of communities in the country.
Ahmeti says that Albanians are 29.5% of the total population and 24.3% of the resident population, while in the city of Skopje 22.8% (from 20.04% in 2002). The total number of the population with the non-resident or diaspora is 2.1 million: 54.21% are Macedonians, 29.52% are Albanians, 3.98 as Turks, 2.34 as Roma, 1.18% as Serbs, 0.87 as Bosnian and 0.44 as Vlach.
Through a Facebook post, Ahmeti congratulates all the institutions that were involved and helped the Census as a process that began in March last year with the country’s diaspora and ended in September with the census in the country.
“Process and challenge not at all easy, but we managed to complete it successfully”, writes Ahmeti.
