The General Director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado spoke to “Top Talk” about how the calculation of the pension works and what is the minimum pension.
He indicated that there was a queue for the withdrawal of pensions and bonuses, but there should not be
panic because money is secured.
In terms of calculating pensions it is done on the basis of years of work in which insurance is continuously deposited.
The lowest pension is 8020 lek which is given to a person with 15 years of work, declared in the country.
Hado stressed that pension money is not paid on an as-needed basis, implying that the pension is self-financed by the individual.
“Pensions are not money that is paid as needed. Retirement is a cash income, which replaces the loss of income due to aging but based on the contributions you have made“, Said Hado.
